Qatar Audit Law: Penalties
Article 47 of the Qatar Audit Profession Law No. 8 of Year 2020 pronounces that the the auditor who signed the audit report is liable for penalty and imprisonment as follows:
- Sign Audit Report on financial statements that have not been audited by him/her or by employees under his/her supervision - Imprisonment for a period not exceeding ONE YEAR and a fine not exceeding (QR. 2,000,000) Two million Qatari Riyals, or Both.
